The Art of Breathing: Breathwork techniques that will influence your mood for the better

In this meditation podcast we reveal three breathwork techniques that you can do anytime, anywhere. These simple exercises will help you to channel your energy and influence your well-being for the better.

Have you ever heard of ‘Pranayama’? It is the yogic term for ‘breath control’. The first word ‘Prana’ means ‘life energy’. By doing these different exercises you’ll learn how to take back control over energy, meaning that you can slow down or recharge simply by using these different breathing techniques.

Learn how to connect to your body and the present moment through a gentle controlled way of breathing. Feel energised in the morning, beat stress in the moment at work and relax at the end of the day just by focusing on your in and exhales.

If you need calmer energy, for example at night, you can make the exhales longer than the inhales. Direct the breath more towards your belly, without force. And allow the natural pause at the end of the exhale to be as long as comfortable.

Want to kickstart your day with a big dose of positive energy? Then lengthen the inhales instead!  Direct the breath more towards the ribcage and chest to really expand and take the air in.
