The Perfume Genie

Follow these steps to set up your Perfume Genie: Download the Rituals Cosmetics app from the App Store or Google Play Store. Open the app and tap the + symbol at the bottom right, then select 'Connect Perfume Genie'. Log in to your existing Rituals account or create one in the app. Once logged in, click 'Set up new Genie'. The app will guide you through the remaining steps to set up your Perfume Genie. After set up, you can control your Perfume Genie with your Google Home or Alexa device; simply follow the steps in the App to set this up.

If you have a problem with your Perfume Genie, it might just take something really simple to get your Perfume Genie to work again. Try these steps: Check the cartridge: When installing the cartridge make sure to position it with the black base down and fit it in the groove. There is a white sticker on the base of the cartridge, please make sure this is intact as this is the chip that the Genie 'reads' for information. Do not remove the sticker. Your cartridge is full, but you are still being alerted in the app that the cartridge is empty? This could be due to a faulty chip on the cartridge. The Genie will continue working according to the set schedule. Is your cartridge empty? That's why your Genie isn't working. You can replace the cartridge with a new one. Rituals cartridges are the only compatible cartridges. Check the WiFi connection: Check to see if the Wi-Fi signal is sufficient. If this doesn’t work, briefly press the Reset button underneath the Genie. Was there a change in your Wi-Fi settings (password change or new network)? You will need to disconnect and reset your Perfume Genie before connecting it again. Complete the following steps: To disconnect the Perfume Genie, open the Rituals App and select the Genie icon at the top left. Click on the Settings icon at the top right then scroll down and press Remove this Device. Then reset the Genie in one of the following ways: Perfume Genie 1.0: press and hold the Factory Reset button for 2 seconds. Perfume Genie 2.0: press the Connect button on the bottom of the Perfume Genie for at least 12 seconds. When the LED light turns red, let go of the button and the light will turn blue. Your Perfume Genie is now ready to be connected again through the Rituals App. Check placement of the Perfume Genie and/or cartridge: Place the Perfume Genie on a level surface. Only use it indoors and at normal temperatures. For the best experience, place the Perfume Genie in a central place in your home, about 1.5 meters above the floor and away from draughts. Avoid moving the Perfume Genie, as much as possible, when a cartridge is installed. If you need further assistance please do not hesitate to contact our Customer Relations team. Do you prefer to use your Perfume Genie without the app, or can you no longer access your account? Perhaps you want to add some fragrance to the room, but your smartphone is out of reach. Rest assured, you can still turn on the device by using the ‘perfume on/off’ button on the back. When you turn on your Perfume Genie manually, it will turn off automatically after 1 hour.

A Perfume Genie cartridge provides 270 hours of perfume, giving you an average of 3 months of enjoyment.
