Terms & Conditions My Rituals
1. General
These My Rituals Terms & Conditions for the My Rituals Program are issued by Rituals Cosmetics Enterprise B.V. and are part of the Rituals General Terms and Conditions. In case of any discrepancy between these My Rituals Terms and Conditions and the Rituals General Terms and Conditions, the former prevail.
1.1 As a member of the My Rituals loyalty program, we will spoil you with personalised offers and surprises. These personalised offers and surprises are based on your online purchases and purchases in official Rituals stores in participating countries. When you purchase Rituals products from our partners, such as warehouses and shop-in-shops, or in countries other than participating countries, these will not be registered to your account. Please note that in Italy the minimum age to create a My Rituals account is 16.
1.2 After registration, you can immediately enjoy the core benefits of our program (see “CORE BENEFITS”). By completing more purchases, you can progress in the program to enjoy additional surprises and benefits (see “ADDITIONAL BENEFITS”).
2. Core Benefits
2.1 Upon registration, every My Rituals member is eligible for the following benefits:
• A “Thank You gift” with your second purchase after registration, only applicable for members that joined My Rituals after October 12th 2022; one gift per My Rituals member only, gift might differ in Rituals outlet stores and Rituals standalone airport stores, not available in (wholesale) partner locations. Not valid when purchasing a gift card;
• A gift when you spend more than the minimum purchase amount as further explained in our instore communication and on the promotions page (available in selected periods, whilst stocks last, max. 1 gift per purchase instore or online. The Premium and Deluxe gift with purchase is available online. Instore you will receive a premium or deluxe gift upon request. Not in combination with other promotions, not valid when purchasing a gift card. Threshold amount fluctuates per campaign and per gift);
• A birthday gift (voucher to be redeemed within 30 days from the registered date of birth, one gift per My Rituals member only. You will receive this gift with any purchase online or in a standalone Rituals store, not available in Rituals outlet stores, wholesale partner locations or airports. Not valid when purchasing a gift card);
• Exclusive offers, personal surprises and the latest (My) Rituals news via email;
• Special text messages with invitations or offers (please see below under “SMS/TEXT MESSAGES MY RITUALS”);
• Invitations to special events; and
• Possible savings deals, where the applicable terms will be explained per deal.
2.2 All benefits will be automatically added to your account and are available upon identification or signing in. Benefits cannot be valued in monetary terms, cannot be exchanged for money or a cash alternative and cannot be passed on to others. Offers may differ online and in store.
3. Additional Benefits
3.1 On top of the core benefits of the My Rituals program, we would like to surprise our loyal members with additional benefits that can be unlocked during our membership. There are four different phases within our program with different surprises, the higher the phase you are in, the more luxurious the surprises are. Unlike the fixed benefits that every My Rituals member enjoys, the additional benefits will be additional surprises on top of the core benefits and communicated to you once you are eligible.
3.2 The four phases are as described below, with every new member Rituals member starting in the first phase.
• Gratitude
• Joy
• Purpose
• Soulmate
3.3 The phase you are in depends on the number of purchases you did with your account (purchase of a Rituals gift card is excluded). Please note that you will be placed in the phase, based on the number of identified purchases since the start of your membership.
3.4 By completing more eligible purchases, your phase will progress accordingly. Your eligible benefits can be found in your My Rituals account on the website or Rituals App at all times. The conditions of these additional benefits will be explained per offer.
3.5 All available benefits will be automatically added to your account and are available upon identification or signing in. Offers or surprises cannot be valued in monetary terms, cannot be exchanged for money and cannot be passed on to others. Offers may differ online and in store.
4. Sign Up, Edit & Unsubscribe
4.1 You can sign up as a My Rituals member in various ways namely:
• In a standalone Rituals store in the countries where the My Rituals program has been rolled out;
• via SMS/text message; and
• online; via the website or Rituals App.
4.2 After completing your registration, you will receive a confirmation email with your My Rituals member card number and digital member card. In case you did not create a password upon registration, you will receive an email to secure your account with a password. These details are strictly personal and must be kept for yourself. Inform Rituals immediately if you think a third party has acquired your password. A maximum of one account can be created per customer, only one email address can be registered per account.
4.3 You can always change your account details by logging in via your account. You can also change your account in stores with the help of store personnel. Alternatively, our Customer Relations team will be happy to help you. Also, in every email we send you, we will always offer you an opt-out.
5. Personal Details
5.1 Rituals processes the following personal details in connection with the My Rituals loyalty program:
The necessary details are:
• First name & surname;
• email address; and
• date of birth.
The extra (optional) details we ask for are:
• phone number;
• gender.
5.2 If you make purchases in store, you can identify yourself with your (digital) member card to make use of your benefits and add your purchases to your account. When you make purchases as a My Rituals member, Rituals also registers the details of your purchase, including the date and location. In doing so, Rituals creates an interests profile on you in order to be able to select products, services, experiences and promotions that will be of relevance to you. Rituals processes your personal data in line with its Privacy Policy.
6. Email Communication My Rituals
6.1 The core of the My Rituals loyalty program relates to receiving personalized offers and surprises, Rituals news, invitations to special events via email et cetera. As a result, only those who wish to receive these My Rituals marketing emails and provide their consent accordingly can create a My Rituals account. Nonetheless, should you, after you have created your My Rituals account, wish to opt-out to one or more of our communications via email, you can do so at any moment via the unsubscribe link in the footer of our emails or via your My Rituals account when logged in via the website or Rituals App.
7. SMS/Text Messages My Rituals
7.1 Rituals may send to you marketing and promotional text messages using an automatic telephone dialling system (“My Rituals SMS”), if you provided us with your explicit prior consent to do so.
7.2 Such My Rituals SMS will be sent to the mobile phone number you provide to Rituals, as part of your enrolment or subsequently when you sign up for My Rituals SMS text messaging. By opting in to the My Rituals SMS Program, you represent that the mobile number for which you have opted-in, is one for which you are authorised to provide consent to receive SMS from My Rituals.
7.3 You understand that we do not rely on your consent where we need to contact you in relation to a purchase from Rituals or as part of your general participation in the My Rituals loyalty program. You may withdraw your consent at any time. Please find three different options to withdraw your consent below:
• opt-out via your My Rituals account (on our Rituals website of via the Rituals App);
• click on the opt-out link in any My Rituals SMS text message; or
• visit https://rituals.ie.rcpl.nl/dmz/smsoptout/it and fill in the mobile number you would like to opt-out with.
7.4 Please note that you may receive one additional SMS confirming your opt-out.
7.5 You agree that if and before you disconnect or transfer your mobile number, you will opt-out that number from My Rituals SMS Program.
8. Miscellaneous
8.1 Membership of the loyalty program is for an indefinite period. Rituals maintains the right to alter the general terms and conditions and the contents of the My Rituals loyalty program at any given moment.
8.2 Notwithstanding the other provisions of these terms and conditions, your application for membership may at any time be refused and/or your My Rituals account may be suspended or terminated and/or your benefits may be withdrawn in connection or as a result of misuse of the services, the program and/or benefits which are available to members from time to time.
8.3 You will always be informed prior to any changes regarding the loyalty program. If for some reason you do not agree with the changes, you are free to end your membership of the My Rituals loyalty program.
8.4 If you signed up as a member before the 1st of May 2022, all your previous purchases with your account will be included to determine the phase and benefits of your membership. You can see an overview of the phase you are in and the benefits that you can enjoy in your My Rituals account.
8.5 You can end your membership of the My Rituals loyalty program at any given moment by sending a request via the contact form. In the contact form you can select ‘Privacy – GDPR’ as topic, followed by ‘Right to delete my personal data’ as subtopic and all the gained benefits will be void.
8.6 The benefits of the program may differ per country, all applicable benefits can be found in the general terms of the respective country.
8.7 You can also contact us with any other questions about the My Rituals program via the contact form, by filling in the applicable topic and subtopic and all relevant fields.
8.8 Dutch law applies to the My Rituals loyalty program. The competent court in Amsterdam, the Netherlands has the non-exclusive jurisdiction to settle disputes in connection to these terms and conditions, which means that you can file a claim to enforce your consumer protection rights in connection with these terms and conditions in Amsterdam or in the EU country where you live.
