Reconnect to nature to beat stress, calm the mind and more

From a simple breathwork exercise to guided walking, find connection to nature.

Life gets busy and sometimes, let’s face it, we need to touch grass. Grounding ourselves in the calmness of nature can help to reduce stress and calm a racing mind.

If you can’t escape your desk and need a moment of stillness to just breathe, we have created a breathing bubble. The guided technique is scientifically-proven-to-work Box Breathing, that is known to reduce stress and enhance mood.

The bubble guides you to breathe in slowly for 4 seconds, filling your lungs with air. You then hold this oxygen-filled air for 4 seconds, before slowly exhaling for 4 seconds and holding again for 4 seconds. You can repeat this as many times as you like until you feel relaxed.

Have more time? Walking outside in nature can be meditative, but if you add mindfulness to it, a simple stroll becomes a truly powerful exercise for body and mind. This voice-guided walking meditation by expert Deborah Quibell will ground you in the present moment with each step you take.

A mindful walk is a wonderful alternative to your sitting practice. The slow, natural movement of your footsteps connecting to the earth will help you get out of your thought stream and into a state of present awareness.

Find a green space, such as a park or a forest, and really enjoy every step and every breath as you put one foot in front of the other.
