We're thrilled that you've chosen our sustainable refills! Here's how to use them efficiently:

Face cream: Remove the empty inner cup by pressing the bottom upwards. Insert the new refill cup into the jar, removing the sleeve, and press until it clicks. Your cream is now ready for use.

Body cream: Push the notches on the side of the jar upwards to release the inner container. Insert the refill jar into the outer pack and remove the seal. Your product is now ready.

Car air freshener: Remove the grid from the holder and discard the empty membrane. Place the new membrane with the aluminum side up, pull the strip through the grid, and reattach it. Carefully remove the foil without damaging the membrane. Attach the clip and secure it to your car's fan.

Car perfume: Place your perfume bottle into the wooden holder (sold separately). Place the cap on top and press gently to spray.

Hand wash: Place the dispenser in the sink and remove the pump. If switching fragrances, rinse the dispenser thoroughly. Tilt the refill bottle to fill the dispenser.

Fragrance sticks: Fill the holder with the refill liquid. Your refill comes with a new set of wooden sticks, which you can now place into your refilled holder. For a stronger aroma, turn the sticks, but note it may shorten the fragrance's life. If contact with the liquid occurs, wash your hands thoroughly.

• To allow the top layer to melt equally, we advise you to allow the candle to burn for a minimum of two hours consecutively on first use.
• Your candle burns best in a place with little airflow, this ensures that the candle burns as evenly as possible.
• Also ensure that a minimum of one centimetre of wax remains in the candle, to ensure that the glass does not overheat and risks breaking.
• Never leave a lit candle unattended.

• Your fragrance sticks are special rattan sticks, which draw the wonderful scent up naturally and then spread it evenly. It is therefore not necessary to turn the sticks regularly. Are you still looking for a fast scent boost, turn just one single stick.
• The air circulation in your house is extremely important to extend the lifespan of your sticks, preferably place these in a place with limited airflow so that the fragrance dissipates less quickly.
• While the scent ensures a warm atmosphere in your house during dark winter days, their lifespan is shorter if they are located near a heat source (such as your central heating).
• Please bear in mind that the lifespan of the fragrance sticks can vary. You can find this information on the product page. Then you will know exactly what you can expect from your fragrance sticks.

• name of the product;

• how long after using the product the reaction occurred;
• whether you have contacted a doctor.

Our sun care products allow you to enjoy the sun in a safe and carefree way. It is extremely important to use our sun protection correctly manner, so that you are always protected against the harmful effects of the sun.

• Apply your sun protection at least 30 minutes before you expose your skin to the sun and repeat this every two hours. Use a minimum of two tablespoons (30 ml) for the entire body.
• Have you been swimming or sweating? Apply the sun care product again after drying yourself.
• Choose a factor that suits your skin. Lighter skin often requires a higher factor.
• Please bear in mind the use-by date of your sun protection product. If it has expired, it is possible that the product no longer offers the original protection.

Yes, all of our product formulas are tested by accredited testing laboratories and reviewed by a safety reviewer to ensure the highest level of safety regulations, including SPF and UVA protection.
 
Within this context, The Ritual of Karma sun face cream SPF 50+ tested positively on the required protection factor (SPF).
 
A while ago, we were informed by the Dutch Consumer Association of the outcome of a test they conducted on this product and to our surprise, these results indicate that the formula did not meet the set legal requirements to support a SPF 50+ claim, namely a minimum protection factor (SPF) of 60.
 
At Rituals, the safety and wellbeing of our customers and the quality of our products are of the highest priority. That is precisely why we immediately commissioned an independent research institute to extensively test the product again. We are pleased to report that the validation tests confirm the product's claimed sun protection factor (50+).
