From plant pots to photo boxes: clever ways to upcycle your Rituals products

Refilled your favourite products and still have empties to spare? It’s time to get creative! Here are nine clever ways to re-purpose your pre-loved Rituals items.

When it comes to our purchases, we’re all trying to be more sustainable. It’s never been more important to reduce, reuse and recycle our products. As a brand, we’ve committed to making as many of our products refillable as possible, so reusing them in this way is easy. But for those times when you can’t refill your empties or you want to get creative, it’s time to upcycle. Upcycling doesn’t have to mean upholstering a vintage chair, it can be as easy as repurposing your empty perfume bottle. Ready to boost your eco credentials even more? Here are eight smart solutions to give your pre-loved Rituals products a new lease of life.

Upcycling doesn’t have to mean upholstering a vintage chair, it can be as easy as repurposing your empty perfume bottle. Ready to boost your eco credentials even more? Here are nine smart solutions to give your pre-loved Rituals products a new lease of life.

Trinket holder

We’ve all got that surface in our home that seems to gather random items. From storing your rings to spare change, keep them safe (and stylish) in The Ritual of Namaste cream pot.

Plant pots

Give your botanical beauties a stylish home by popping them into your empty candle holder. To remove the wax, fill it with hot water and scrape it out. Top tip: Succulents are great for small pots and thrive in well-drained soil so add some gravel or pebbles at the bottom of your holder.

Bathroom storage

Constantly looking for your hairbrush? Make it the centrepiece of your bathroom by reusing your empty candle. This is a cute way to store your toothbrushes or make-up brushes too!

Vases

However beautiful your bouquet, there are always some flowers that outlive the rest. Instead of binning them all, let us introduce you to the bud vase. It’s the perfect way to add a floral pop to your bedside table, mantlepiece or dining table. All our eau de parfum disassemble completely, meaning you can easily take off the top, fill it with water and add your flower.

Our
fragrance sticks holders are already refillable, but if you’re short of a floral vessel in between top-ups, they make a beautiful vase. The different-sized holders mean you can cater for both small and large bouquets.

Drawer organisers

No need to head to Ikea, you might just have drawer dividers that you didn’t even know about. From your sock drawer to your work desk to your bedside table, arrange your gift boxes inside and enjoy organisation at its finest.

Herb holder

Every domestic goddess needs her herbs ready to throw into a curry (or mojito). Give your mint, basil and parsley a happy home by re-planting them into a candle holder. Just like the succulents, they will need a form of drainage. Top tip: most herbs are overcrowded, splitting them up into two to four plants in new soil will give them more room to grow.

Plant spray bottle

Speaking of plants, keep your flora and fauna blooming by misting their leaves. When your parfum d’Interieur runs out, fill it back up with water and spray away. Top tip: this will also come in handy when ironing!

Kitchen utensil pot

Whether you’re making a cake or having a late-night karaoke session, it’s always handy to have your wooden spoons at the ready. Create the kitchen of dreams by organising your cutlery and utensils in a chic holder (your empty candle pot).

Travel bag dividers

Bye, bye, messy suitcase. Our bedlinen comes in handy drawstring bags, perfect for reusing as a travel bag divider. One for bikinis, one for socks, one for shoes – simple!
