Beauty elixir smoothie to feed your skin from the inside out

Inspired by the viral beauty smoothies, this colourful drink will help you glow from within.

I'm not a fan of cooking with unnecessarily expensive ingredients, but I do love small touches that elevate the presentation. This Beauty Elixir Smoothie definitely falls into that last category. So, yes, it’s inspired by those viral beauty smoothies, but without the hefty price tag.

Want to make your skin glow from within? These glow-boosting ingredients will help you get there: carrot for beta-carotene, blueberries for antioxidants, and citrus for a refreshing burst of vitamin C.

Cooking time: 10 minutes

Serves: 1

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp thick coconut yogurt
  • 2 tbsp dark blueberry jam
  • A squeeze of fresh lime juice
  • 100 ml carrot juice
  • 100 ml fresh orange juice
  • 90 g frozen mango
  • 90 g frozen pineapple

Steps:

  1. Start by spooning the thick coconut yoghurt into the bottom of a large glass or cup, creating a smooth and even layer.
  2. In a blender, combine the blueberry jam with a squeeze of fresh orange juice and blend until smooth to create the second layer. Gently spoon the mixture over the yoghurt layer, ensuring a distinct separation.
  3. For the final layer, blend together the carrot juice, frozen mango, frozen pineapple, and fresh orange juice until smooth and creamy. If you like, you can also squeeze in more lime juice here. Pour this tropical smoothie mixture over the blueberry layer, filling the glass completely. Enjoy with a straw.
