RITUALS & SECRET ESCAPES SUMMER TREAT TERMS AND CONDITIONS("TERMS AND CONDITIONS")

IDENTITY

This competition is organised by Rituals Cosmetics Enterprise B.V., having its registered offices at Keizersgracht 679, 1017 DV Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and registered with the Chamber of Commerce under number 809215160 ("Rituals") and Secret Escapes Ltd., having its registered offices at 120 Holborn, London EC1N 2TD, United Kingdom, and registered with the Chamber of Commerce under number 07026107 («Secret Escapes»).

WHAT IS "SLOW DOWN & RELAX TREAT"?

The summer treat competition is a promotion that enables you to have a chance to win Rituals products and a Secret Escapes hotel voucher. The competition will run from 14th June 2019 (at 00:01 GMT) up to and including 28th June 2019 (at 23:59 GMT) («Competition Term»).

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

This competition is intended for all people in the United Kingdom aged 18 or above. If you are under the age of 18, you are not eligible to participate in this competition. Once a person has completed the requirements for participation, as set out below, they will become a participant («Participant»).
The following parties are excluded from participation: (i) employees of Rituals & Secret Escapes or companies affiliated or associated with Rituals & Secret Escapes , (ii) every other person who is involved in the organisation of the competition, and (iii) immediate family members of the persons mentioned under (i) or (ii).

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

Participation is free of charge. To be eligible for winning a prize, a Participant must (i) have entered a valid e-mail address and valid personal details (this being his/her full name and postal address) on the competition login screen and follow the on screen instructions to have registered prior to June 28th 2019 (at 23:59 GMT), and (ii) have accepted the Terms and Conditions. Your operator's standard data or communication charges shall apply for access to the competition website.

PRIZE & THE DETERMINATION OF WINNER

Each Participant is limited to one (1) entry in the drawing and is eligible to win a Prize only once. In total, there will be one Prize drawn to be distributed in the United Kingdom.

The prize that Rituals provides in the competition is a luxury giftset of products from the Ritual of Karma collection to a maximum value of £150. You can find more information about The Ritual of Karma https://www.rituals.com/en-gb/collection-story-karma.html.

The prizes that Secret Escapes provides in the competition is one £150 Gift Card from Secret Escapes that can be redeemed on www.secretescapes.com for a credit of £150 against any available offer on the website. This Gift Card will be provided by Secret Escapes to the winner via email.

The Gift Card is valid until 01/07/2020 and holidays must be booked before this date.

The prize has no cash value. Secret Escapes Gift Cards cannot be exchanged or refunded even partially, and cannot give rise to any charge back. Secret Escapes Gift Cards cannot be replaced or refunded if lost, stolen or expired. A Secret Escapes Gift Card cannot be used to buy another Gift Card.

The value of your Secret Escapes Gift Card (£150) will be deducted from the total cost of your booking with Secret Escapes. This excludes any amount paid to third-party tour operators, where the booking takes place on the supplier's own website. If any balance remains to be spent from the Secret Escapes Gift Card, it can be used on a future booking. There is no minimum spend required and the Secret Escapes Gift Card can be redeemed against any purchase (other than other Gift Cards) including booking fees.

Secret Escapes is an exclusive members' only travel club that promotes and advertises exclusive deals on accommodation only, flight only, third party package holidays ("Third Party Package Holidays") and all other travel arrangements ("Travel Offer(s)") and package holidays where Secret Escapes are the organiser of the package holiday ("Package Holiday(s)")Travel Offers and Package Holidays. Secret Escapes does not itself own or provide any of the services, facilities or travel arrangements which make up your Travel Offer or Package Holiday. These are provided by third parties i.e. the Travel Providers.

In order to book your holiday with Secret Escapes, you must register with Secret Escapes and set up an account. You may set up your Account with an email address and password or connect to the services and create an account using a social media account (e.g. Facebook) identified in the sign up stage. It’s the responsibility of the winner to book their holiday via the Secret Escapes website once they receive their Gift Card.

It is important that you have sufficient insurance in place to cover you (and your group if necessary) whilst you are away and it is a condition of your booking that you have such suitable insurance cover in place when travelling with Secret Escapes. Please ensure that you have a valid travel insurance policy in place from the time of booking, to cover you for the countries and activities you may be undertaking on your holiday with Secret Escapes.

If choosing a destination in another country, it’s the responsibility of the winner to ensure that they have the correct visa and a valid passport. If in doubt contact the relevant embassies and/or consulates.

The winner of the Secret Escapes gift card is be subject to terms and conditions from Secret Escapes https://www.secretescapes.com/terms-and-conditions.

Secret Escapes Gift Cards are strictly non-transferable and must not be sold nor advertised for sale whether on the internet, in newspapers or elsewhere.

The winner of the competition will be selected at random amongst the Participants on June 27th 2019. The winner will have a maximum of 14 days to respond to Rituals and Secret Escapes and thereby claiming the prize.

DELIVERY

Rituals will send the Prize to the winner within a reasonable term, at the latest within 5 work days after successfully contacting the winner via e-mail. All Prizes under this competition are strictly personal, non-transferable, and non-exchangeable for cash or any other form of compensation. Additionally, Rituals & Secret Escapes are not obliged to communicate or correspond about the result of this competition. That the Participants have left a valid e-mail address is crucial for Rituals & Secret Escapes to be able to deliver the Prize to the winner in a timely manner. Rituals must be able to identify you as an individual from the information collected through your participation. In this regard, you confirm that your information is accurate and up-to-date.

PRIVACY

By participating in the competition, Rituals will use the Participants' personal data collected solely for the purposes of running the competition. We will collect Participant's first and last name and his/her e-mail address and other relevant details for participation in the competition. Personal data will not be further used or retained by Rituals for any other purposes, unless Participants or Friends consented thereto. The personal data provided upon participation will be treated by Rituals with strict confidentially and will be retained and/or processed in accordance with the applicable legislation with regard to the protection of personal data. The personal data will be used, within the context of the competition, exclusively for the organisation and proceedings of the competition. If, during the competition, a Participant, informs us that he/she does no longer want to participate, we will not be using his/her personal data anymore. LIABILITY

Subject to Rituals' wilful misconduct or gross negligence and to the maximum extent permitted by law, Rituals is only liable for direct damages caused due to Rituals' negligence and not for any indirect damages, loss of profits or business interruption (even if Rituals have been advised of the possibility of such damages or such damages are foreseeable) arising out of the Participant's participation in the competition. As such, Rituals is not liable for any damage arising from not being able to participate or being excluded from the competition, for whatever reason, and/or the suitability of, a defect in or the non-conformity of the Prize.

EXCLUSION

Rituals & Secret Escapes has the right to exclude a Participant from participation in this competition and therefore the chance of winning a Prize if the Participant has provided incorrect, incomplete, unclear, or misleading information or has in any other manner committed fraud or attempted to do so. Mass form submissions, participation by or through third parties or associations, macros, or other automated methods and means of participation in the competition that do not fully comply with the provisions of the Terms and Conditions will be excluded. If a Participant uses or manipulates a computer system to circumvent the Terms and Conditions, e.g. through the use of ‘scripts’, manipulation of IP addresses, the use of a third party’s identity or login details, the use of any other automated methods to generate additional registrations to participate in the competition, this Participant and all similar means of participating in the competition will be excluded. In such a case, any allocation of a Prize will be declared null and void.

APPLICABLE LAW

To the extent allowed by law, this competition is governed by the laws of the Netherlands, and all disputes in relation to the competition that cannot be settled amicably will be placed exclusively before the competent courts in Amsterdam. This choice of law does not deprive you of the protection afforded to you under your own laws where such provisions that cannot be derogated from by agreement by virtue of the law of your jurisdiction.

APPLICABILITY

In order to participate, the Participant must accept these Terms and Conditions.
