RITUALS MAKE-A-WISH TERMS AND CONDITIONS
("Terms and Conditions")

Identity This competition is organised by Rituals Cosmetics Enterprise B.V., having its registered offices at Keizersgracht 679, 1017 DV Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and registered with the Chamber of Commerce under number 809215160 ("Rituals").

What is make-a-wish? The make-a-wish competition is a competition that enables you to win a chance at matching Rituals gift sets for you and a friend. The competition will run from 19th November 2018 (at 00:01 GMT) up to and including 20th December 2018 (at 23:59 GMT) ("Competition Term").

Who can participate? This competition is intended for all people in Great Britain aged 18 or above. If you are under the age of 18, you are not eligible to participate in this competition. Once a person has completed the requirements for participation, as set out below, they will become a participant ("Participant").
The following parties are excluded from participation: (i) employees of Rituals or companies affiliated or associated with Rituals, (ii) every other person who is involved in the organisation of the competition, and (iii) immediate family members of the persons mentioned under (i) or (ii).

How to participate Participation is free of charge. To be eligible for winning a prize, a Participant must (i) have entered a valid e-mail address and valid personal details (this being his/her full name and postal address) on the competition login screen (which can be accessed at the following link: https://www.rituals.com/en-gb/campaign) and follow the on screen instructions to have registered prior to 20th December 2018 (at 23:59 GMT), (ii) have accepted the Terms and Conditions and(iii) make a wish for an acquaintance or a friend ("Friend") - see following paragraph. Your operator's standard data or communication charges shall apply for access to the competition website.
Participant can make a wish for a Friend, at their own initiative, by filling in the Friend's e-mail address. Before the Friend receives the invitation e-mail - containing Participant's wish list - Participant shall receive a concept invitation e-mail so Participant can read the message, take responsibility for the content and approve the message, before Rituals sends the invitation e-mail on behalf of the Participant to the Friend. The invitation e-mail shall also contain details of the Participant so the Friend knows who has invited them. Participant can send as many wishes to as many Friends as he/she likes (although the Participant can only send one wish to each Friend). The chance of winning is not increased, for either the Participant or the Friend nor by the amount of friends invited. Whether the Friend participates in the competition or not, has no influence on the eligibility of the Participant in the competition.
Friends that are invited to join the competition shall initially only receive a one-time e-mail containing the wish and an invitation to participate. Friends do not automatically become Participants. Only if the Friend fills in his/her personal details (the same way as described above), accepts the Terms and Conditions and makes his/her own wish, Friend shall become a Participant. If the Friend does not wish to participate, the personal data of the Friend (the e-mail address) shall be deleted after the Competition Term.
Any other means of sending us the participation form (e.g. by telephone, fax, or in any other way) will not be deemed valid.

Prize & the determination of winners The prize that Rituals provides in the competition is: one matching Rituals luxury Medium size gift set from the Ritual of your wish for each of the winner and one Friend ("Prize"). The approximate retail value (including VAT) of the Prize is €29,50. You can find the available gift sets here. In total, there will be 200 Prizes drawn to be distributed in total.
The winners of the competition will be selected at random amongst the Participants on 21th of december. Each Participant is limited to one (1) entry in the drawing and is eligible to win a Prize only once, irrespective of the number of Friends he/she has made a wish for and/or the number of times he/she has received a wish as a Friend.
Each Prize shall be for a winner and a Friend, provided that the Friend has joined the competition. If the Friend has not joined the competition, then the winner shall receive the Prize. If a winner has made a wish for more than one Friend, the Friend that will win the matching gift set shall be determined through a draw amongst the Friends of winner, by the same mechanism as the one through which the winning Participant is chosen.
Rituals will contact the winners via e-mail (using the Participant email address provided for entry) within 2 weeks after the Draw Date to confirm that Rituals shall dispatch the Prize to the postal address submitted when joining the competition.

Delivery Rituals will send the Prizes to the winners within a reasonable term, at the latest within two weeks. Prizes will not necessarily be received before the Christmas period. All Prizes under this competition are strictly personal, non-transferable, and non-exchangeable for cash or any other form of compensation. Additionally, Rituals is not obliged to communicate or correspond about the result of this competition. That the Participants have left a valid postal address is crucial for Rituals to be able to deliver the Prize to the winners. Rituals must be able to identify you as an individual from the information collected through your participation. In this regard, you confirm that your information is accurate and up-to-date.

Privacy By participating in the competition, Rituals will use Participants' and Friends' personal data collected solely for the purposes of running the competition. We will collect Participant's first and last name and his/her e-mail address and other relevant details for participation in the competition. We will collect Friends' email address. This also means that during the competition, we will inform Participants and Friends (if they participate) about the progress of the competition using the personal data collected as part of participation in the competition. Personal data will not be further used or retained by Rituals for any other purposes, unless Participants or Friends consented thereto. Also, Rituals will not make any further use of the e-mail addresses of Friends invited by Participants who did not enter the competition but were used exclusively for the purpose of sending an e-mail about the competition. Rituals will delete this data after 21st December 2018, unless Friend's e-mail was already in Ritual's database. The personal data provided upon participation will be treated by Rituals with strict confidentially and will be retained and/or processed in accordance with the applicable legislation with regard to the protection of personal data. The personal data will be used, within the context of the competition, exclusively for the organisation and proceedings of the competition. If, during the competition, a Participant, informs us that he/she does no longer want to participate, we will not be using his/her personal data anymore.If you have any concerns about data protection, you can also contact our company data protection officer:

Liability Subject to Rituals' wilful misconduct or gross negligence and to the maximum extent permitted by law, Rituals is only liable for direct damages caused due to Rituals' negligence and not for any indirect damages, loss of profits or business interruption (even if Rituals have been advised of the possibility of such damages or such damages are foreseeable) arising out of the Participant's participation in the competition. As such, Rituals is not liable for any damage arising from not being able to participate or being excluded from the competition, for whatever reason, and/or the suitability of, a defect in or the non-conformity of the Prize.

Exclusion Rituals has the right to exclude a Participant from participation in this competition and therefore the chance of winning a Prize if the Participant has provided incorrect, incomplete, unclear, or misleading information or has in any other manner committed fraud or attempted to do so. Mass form submissions, participation by or through third parties or associations, macros, or other automated methods and means of participation in the competition that do not fully comply with the provisions of the Terms and Conditions will be excluded. If a Participant uses or manipulates a computer system to circumvent the Terms and Conditions, e.g. through the use of ‘scripts’, manipulation of IP addresses, the use of a third party’s identity or login details, the use of any other automated methods to generate additional registrations to participate in the competition, this Participant and all similar means of participating in the competition will be excluded. In such a case, any allocation of a Prize will be declared null and void.

Applicable law To the extent allowed by law, this competition is governed by the laws of the Netherlands, and all disputes in relation to the competition that cannot be settled amicably will be placed exclusively before the competent courts in Amsterdam. This choice of law does not deprive you of the protection afforded to you under your own laws where such provisions that cannot be derogated from by agreement by virtue of the law of your jurisdiction.

Applicability In order to participate, the Participant must accept these Terms and Conditions.
