A year of impact: achievements for people & planet in 2025

In 2025 our partners achieved remarkable milestones – supporting children, protecting forests and oceans, and strengthening communities worldwide.

At Rituals, we believe small routines can create meaningful change. In 2025, thanks to your support and our 10% Profit Pledge, we were able to use 10% of our net profit from 2024 to support our partners. They achieved incredible progress for children, caregivers, communities and the natural worldhere’s what they accomplished this year.

Super Chill – your mind is your superpower

2025 has been a breakthrough year for Super Chill. With playful exercises and joyful tools, the foundation helped more children than ever before to stay focused and manage their emotions.

  • 1.5 million children in the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, the UK and Ireland now know Super Chill (Super Chill, 2025).
  • In just six months, more than 60,000 conversation starters were generated with the new digital chat cards, while the first 1,000 physical decks sold out immediately (Super Chill, 2025).
  • Parents and caregivers reported that Super Chill is making a clear difference: three quarters said it boosts children’s emotional intelligence, while nearly 80% said it helps children cope better with daily stress (Super Chill, 2025).

Rituals’ support is helping Super Chill expand to more languages and countries, ensuring that even more children can discover that their mind is their superpower.

War Child – because no child should be defined by war

Rituals supports War Child’s research into scaling quality care for children worldwide. This year, War Child demonstrated that their programmes change lives, even in the most difficult circumstances.

  • A major Randomised Controlled Trial in Burundi confirmed that children taking part in TeamUp show better wellbeing, stronger friendships and reduced symptoms of depression than those in standard PE lessons. Results were even stronger for children who completed 24 sessions (War Child, 2025).
  • In South Sudan, War Child launched the first field trial of BeThere, supporting caregiver wellbeing alongside children’s recovery (War Child, 2025).
  • New large-scale partnerships were prepared with Save the Children, ChildFund, MSF and UNHCR – set to reach up to half a million children in the coming years (War Child, 2025).

With Rituals’ backing, War Child can continue to scale evidence-based methods that bring hope, connection and healing to children affected by war.

Sacred Forests – Indigenous wisdom for the future

In Colombia’s Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, the Arhuaco People achieved historic milestones in 2025 with Sacred Forests.

  • More than 200,000 hectares and 100 million trees are being actively protected with drones, satellites and Indigenous Rangers (Sacred Forests, 2025).
  • By the end of this year, over 10,000 hectares of land will have been returned to Indigenous hands, alongside a donation of 800 hectares by the Colombian President – land secured for generations to come (Sacred Forests, 2025).
  • Women and youth from 22 communities created 360 home and community gardens, 400 people were trained in regenerative practices and established over 100 hectares of agroforestry systems (Sacred Forests, 2025).
  • International recognition grew, with their first rewilding site winning the UNDP Equator Prize and a pioneering collaboration with the Colombian Ministry of Agriculture ensuring Indigenous territory can never be sold again (Sacred Forests, 2025).

With Rituals’ support, Sacred Forests and the Arhuaco People are showing the world that blending Indigenous wisdom with modern science is the path to true climate resilience.

Tiny Miracles – stitching a new future

After a successful cash transfer programme in 2024 helped 44 Pardhi families secure homes and schooling, this year we focused on creating lasting, year-round employment.

  • The best-selling Rituals Goodie Bag was transformed into a new training project, teaching Pardhi women valuable stitching skills.
  • Together, we launched the "One Bag, Per Store, Per Day" campaign to drive sales and create sustainable jobs for the community.
  • Today, women from 33 of the 44 families that we began this journey with are now being trained for full-time employment, stitching a new future for themselves.

Blue Marine – protecting one ocean, together

In just six months, Blue Marine celebrated landmark conservation gains that will benefit generations to come.

  • At the UN Ocean Conference in Nice, Chile announced plans to expand protection of the Juan Fernández Islands by 330,000 km², which would take the country to more than half of its waters under protection.
  • Curaçao announced its intention to achieve 30x30 and create its first offshore marine protected area of 9,128 km², following collaboration with the Blue Marine team (Blue Marine, 2025).
  • Across the Caribbean, Greece and Indonesia, Blue Marine also advanced new community-led conservation, from whale hunters shifting to eco-tourism in St Vincent and the Grenadines to ranger training in Raja Ampat (Blue Marine, 2025).

Rituals’ contribution is helping Blue Marine turn global commitments into real protection – keeping the world on track for the 30x30 target: safeguarding 30% of the ocean by 2030.

National Geographic Pristine Seas – protecting the ocean’s last wild places

In 2025, Pristine Seas blended cutting-edge science with exploration and storytelling to equip governments in securing vital protections for the ocean’s most critical ecosystems.

  • In the Marshall Islands, their comprehensive surveys provided the scientific foundation for the country’s first national marine sanctuary, leading to the protection of 48,000 km² of pristine waters around the Bikar and Bokak atolls – a vital habitat for green turtles and sharks (National Geographic, press release, 2025).
  • Following a Pristine Seas expedition in Colombia that documented a stunning array of life, the nation’s leaders announced a new 3,800 km² marine protected area at the UN Ocean Conference in Nice, safeguarding the remote Bajo Nuevo and Serranilla reefs – a critical haven for endangered sharks and corals (National Geographic, press release, 2025).
  • Pristine Seas’ landmark study in the journal Science used satellite and AI technology to prove that strictly protected marine reserves are highly effective, confirming that over 90% of those studied successfully deter illegal fishing activity and are not just ‘paper parks’ (National Geographic, 2025).

Rituals’ support enables Pristine Seas to deliver world-class science and compelling stories that inspire global leaders to take decisive action for our ocean.

Looking ahead

In 2025, our partners proved what is possible: hundreds of thousands of children supported to grow in confidence and resilience, vast stretches of ocean and rainforest secured for the future, and caregivers and communities given tools to heal and thrive.

Our role is small compared with their courage, creativity and persistence – yet together, we are creating a healthier, kinder world for people and planet.

Introducing our newest partner for the Future: UNICEF

As we look to the future, we are thrilled to announce a new partnership. In 2025, Rituals and UNICEF joined forces to strengthen the mental resilience of a future generation. Together, we provide tools, support and inspiration to help children to stand strong and navigate life’s challenges. Through this partnership, Rituals will also advocate for increased action and investment in mental health by the private sector as a member of the UNICEF-led Global Coalition for Youth Mental Health. The Coalition aims to strengthen the skills and supportive environments for the mental health of 50 million children and young people in 150 countries by 2030 through public and private sector investment and influence.

* As part of our 10% Profit Pledge, Rituals has committed 10% of our net profit* to supporting causes that are making a positive impact on people and planet. Want to learn more about our 10% Profit Pledge? You can read all about our 10% Profit Pledge here.
