Breath of Joy: Breathe your way to a happier mindset

On days when you feel a little down or lacking in energy, try this Breath of Joy breathing and movement exercise. Whether you’re feeling sluggish or your mood is low, breathing with purpose and intention can really help to shift your mindset.

Breathing exercises are a handy and efficient tool to channel your energy. And, in this case, to increase your general energy. Pranayama is the yogic word for breath control and Prana is another word for life force or life energy. Simply put, your breath is powerful enough, when used in particular ways, to boost your energy levels and mood.

During this meditation podcast, we will start with a gentle controlled way of breathing, which you can always use to connect to yourself and the present moment. After that we’ll come to a standing position to go through the Breath of Joy together, a series of dynamic energy-boosting movements that are carried out in tune with the breath. The routine will shake up your system and help you feel lively, happy and energised. Let’s go.
